IT professional booked for filming woman in bathroom
Pune: Hinjewadi police on Saturday, March 11 arrested an IT professional for filming a video of a woman while she was taking a bath. According to police, an IT professional woman was living as a paying guest in a hostel. On Saturday, when she was taking a bath, the accused allegedly shot her video and circulated it with her friend.
Investigation officer Ajit Kakade said, “As per complaint filed by woman we have arrested suspected Akash Lavania and detained his female friend with whom he had shared a video under sections of 354 C.’’
Kakade further told that both suspects and the victim were working in an IT company and resident of the same hostel and one of the residents noticed that he was doing something suspicious. When cross checked with CCTV camera footage, it was found that he was filming videos of the woman in the hostel.
Police suspected that, suspects along with his female friend had planned to maligning the woman’s image by circulating video on social media.
