Jammu and Kashmir Experiences 5.4 Magnitude Earthquake, Tremors Felt Across North India

Tremors were felt in Delhi and other parts of northern India as a 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck Jammu and Kashmir this afternoon. The earthquake occurred shortly after 1:30 pm and lasted for a few seconds. Fortunately, no damages have been reported thus far.

The National Center for Seismology tweeted, “Earthquake of Magnitude: 5.4, Occurred on 13-06-2023, 13:33:42 IST, Lat: 33.15 & Long: 75.82, Depth: 6 Km, Location: Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, India.”

Lahore, Pakistan also experienced tremors as a result of the earthquake.

In a similar event last month, Delhi experienced a slight tremor when a 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck Afghanistan, as reported by authorities.
