Surge in fuel prices have impacted livelihoods, either directly or indirectly of the citizens. For the past few months fuel hike has become a major inconvenience to citizens putting their monthly budget in doldrums.

Protesting against the surge in fuel prices, Pune City District Congress Committee is holding protest march across Pune city.

Sahil Kedari, president, OBC Cell, Pune City District Congress Committee had organised a signature campaign in Wanowrie protesting against the hike in Petrol, Diesel, LPG, CNG and PNG gas prices.

Sahil Kedari addressing the protestors stated that the Centre has failed to provide any relief in fuel prices. Infact the fuel prices are only seeing upward graph. The government’s negligence towards the burning issue of fuel hike is making common man’s day to day life difficult. It is high time that the Centre reduces the prices of all the essential commodities.

Shivaji Kedari, vice President, Pune City District Congress Committee said
there is no clear directive by the government on how they will resolve the issue and this has led to normal Indian citizens who will have to bear the higher costs of fuel. Hike in fuel prices is making essential services costly. With the Covid19 pandemic people have lost their jobs and are left without any savings, if this hike continues people will be left in lurch. This government has only made fake assurances to the citizens and have failed to deliver.
