Juvenile Thief Caught After Chase In Pune; Four Stolen Bikes and Cash Worth ₹1.92 Lakh Recovered By Kalepadal Police

Pune: In a significant operation, the Kale Padal Police Station in Pune successfully apprehended a habitual juvenile thief after a chase. The accused, a 16-year-old identified as Nitin Kaluram Patole from Dandekar Bridge, Pune, was caught in the early hours of February 7, 2025, while pushing a stolen motorcycle near Kadnagar Chowk, Undri.  

The case originated when complainant Pravin Kumar Agarwal reported the theft of his Hero Honda Passion Pro from Kadnagar, Undri, on March 14, 2025. The next day, he visited the Kale Padal Police Station to file a complaint. Meanwhile, police constables Laxman Kale (4802) and Vishal Thombre (8871) were on patrol duty near Undri Chowki between 4:30 AM and 5:00 AM when they noticed the suspect moving a two-wheeler suspiciously. On questioning, the suspect attempted to flee, but the officers chased and apprehended him.  

Upon further interrogation by Assistant Police Inspector Ratnadeep Gaikwad, the juvenile confessed to stealing multiple vehicles. The police investigation revealed that he had committed four two-wheeler thefts and a burglary across different police jurisdictions:

1. Hero Honda Passion Pro (Kale Padal Police Station) 

2. Honda CB Shine (Hadapsar Police Station)

3. KTM Duke 200 (Wanwadi Police Station)

4. Honda Activa 110 (Kondhwa Police Station)   

5. Cash ₹9,000 (Kale Padal Police Station)

The total value of the recovered stolen property is ₹1.92 lakh. The juvenile had been using the stolen vehicles for personal leisure and burglaries.  

The operation was executed under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Rajkumar Shinde, Assistant Commissioner of Police Dnyankumar Godse, and Senior Police Inspector Manasing Patil. 

The team included Crime Inspector Amar Kalange, Assistant Inspectors Ratnadeep Gaikwad and Amit Shete, and several police constables, including Pandharkar, Saddam Tamboli , Dawood Sayyed, and Shahid Shaikh.
