Google Maps remains a top choice for navigation, providing reliable directions to users. However, as life progresses and addresses change, it’s crucial to keep your information current. Updating your home address on Google Maps ensures you receive the most precise directions, traffic updates, and estimated time of arrival for your new location.

To update your home address on Google Maps, follow these simple steps:

1. Ensure you’re logged into your Google account.
2. Tap on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner.
3. Go to Settings, then select the “Edit home or work” tab from the overflow menu (the three dots).
4. Next to your current home address, select “Edit home.”
5. Remove your current address by tapping the X next to it.
6. Enter your new address in the search bar and select the suggested address by Google.
7. Review the information and tap “Done” to save the changes.
   
   

Alternatively, you can update your home address by accessing Google Maps through your favourite browser:

1. Open Google Maps and click on the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner.
2. Select “Saved” to locate your current home address.
3. Remove your current address by clicking the X next to it.
4. Click on “Set a home address” and type in your new address in the search bar.
