Kondhwa : Dhol Tasha Player Abducted and Murdered in Saswad; 4 Accused Detained
A 16-year-old boy from Kondhwa was kidnapped & murdered at Mari Aai Ghat in Saswad on 2nd September. Kondhwa Police arrested four people in this case.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Santosh Sonawane, Senior Police Inspector, Kondhwa Police Station, said “The deceased boy & the 4 accused went to practise Dhol Tasha. Due to some trivial argument, the 4 men & the boy had an altercation in which the boy died. The 4 men have been detained on the suspicion of murdering & dumping the boy’s body at Mari Aai Ghat in Saswad.”
As per information from Sonawane, when the boy did not return for many days or answered calls, his mother filed a complaint with Kondhwa Police Station. The dead body of the boy was found at Mari Aai Ghat on 4th September.
A case has been registered against the 4 accused under Sections 363 & 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation is going on.
