Ishrat Auti, vice president, Pearl Drop School in Kondhwa spoke to Pune Pulse Editor Renuka Suryavanshi about the current education system and how parents, children and school plays an equally important role.

  1. Covid19 pandemic changed the approach towards schooling. As an educator what do you think has changed exactly ?
A : Indeed. Covid19 changed the parameters of teaching. The digital wave caught the entire world in a soup at once. Despite the challenges, everyone stood up strong and faced it bravely. There was hardly anytime for the teachers as well as children to get accustomed to the new form of learning. The entire concept of teaching and learning changed and I am happy that everyone at Pearl Drop School sailed through successfully. Our teachers took great effort in embracing the challenge and have successfully fulfilled the expectations of the parents as well as the management and kept the children glued to studies in virtual way.[ad id=’9487′]
  2. The approach of the parents towards the schools changed drastically in the last few months. What do you have to say about it ?
A : Any school is incomplete without the participation of the parents, children and teachers. Each one of these play an important role. Even if one end is missing the triangle does not form. Each school dealt with two sections of parents. Some very positive about the change and adapting to it while the other, still adamant on sending their children to school. But the second ones have forgotten that the child is at loss due to such adamant nature.
  3. 2021 – 2022 is the Golden day in the history of Pearl Drop School. Please share the good news.
A : It is one of the important moment of our lives. The first batch of Class X shall graduate. We are excited and confident that our children will excel.
  4. The school has come a long way in the last 18 years. What is the future of Pearl Drop School ?
A : That’s something we at PDS, have kept our fingers crossed. We are soon coming up with a junior college too. The work is under process and soon we will be officially sharing the news.
  5. What do you have to say about the future of education industry in India ?
A : Education industry is evolving and we have definitely made mark for ourselves on the global education map. Pune is known for being the Oxford of the East. This industry should be inclusive and only then it can grow further. We still have a long way to go and I am hopeful that we will achieve the goals shortly.

The teachers and staff of Pearl Drop School extended their warm wishes on Ishrat Auti’s birthday, August 5.
