Leopards Pursue Motorcyclist in Shirur, Pune; CCTV Footage Goes Viral
A frightening event occurred in Shirur taluka of Pune district, on Monday, November 11, where two leopards were spotted chasing a man on a motorcycle. The entire incident was recorded on CCTV and has quickly spread across social media. The video depicts the motorcyclist traveling down a road when the leopards unexpectedly leap out from the bushes and start to chase him.
Luckily, the motorcyclist was able to evade them without any injuries.
This sighting has heightened worries among the residents of Shirur, Junnar, and surrounding areas, who have been facing a series of leopard sightings and attacks. Locals are particularly anxious about going outside during the night and early morning and are urging for immediate measures to be taken to tackle the problem.
In October, a tragic incident occurred when a seven-year-old boy was killed in a leopard attack in Shirur taluka. The attack took place in Mandavgan Pharata village when the boy, named Vansh Rajkumar Singh, went near a sugarcane field.
In another case, a leopard was spotted three weeks ago in the Bhadale Wasti area of Wagholi. The leopard attacked a sheep, and employees from Decathlon captured the incident on their phones.
