Login Made Mandatory To Access MSEDCL Power Bill PDFs Online
Mumbai, August 5, 2025: In a move aimed at enhancing cyber security and safeguarding electricity consumers’ data, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL or Mahavitaran) has made login mandatory for downloading the PDF copy of low-tension category electricity bills from its official website. This change has been implemented in line with guidelines issued by the central government on cyber safety.
Consumers in the low-tension category—domestic, commercial, industrial, and others—can continue to access their current month’s bill via the “View/Pay Bill” section on [www.mahadiscom.in](http://www.mahadiscom.in). Earlier, users could download their electricity bills by simply entering the 12-digit consumer number.
Now, under the revised system, while the option to **pay bills without login** remains available, **downloading the PDF copy of the bill will require registered login access**. A login link has been provided on the “View/Pay Bill” page itself.
Consumers who haven’t registered yet must enter their consumer number, mobile number, and email ID (if available) to complete the registration and create a login ID and password. The registration link is also provided on the same page.
Once logged in, users with multiple electricity connections can avail of various online services without needing to remember the 12-digit consumer number each time. These services include changing the name on the bill, modifying the power load, filing and tracking complaints, paying bills, changing addresses, and accessing other online utilities.
