Lonavala Police Bust Porn Film Shooting Racket in Bungalow; 5 Women Among 18 Arrested

Lonavala Rural Police have initiated an investigation into an incident of indecent filming that occurred on March 29, 2024, before 5 pm, at a bungalow in the Patan village area. The shooting of obscene films for OTT platforms was taking place in a rented bungalow.

Superintendent of Police Pankaj Deshmukh, along with Additional Superintendent of Police Ramesh Chopde and Assistant Superintendent of Police Satyasai Karthik, are overseeing the case. Senior Police Inspector Kishore Dhumal of Lonavla Rural is leading the investigation.

Lonavala Rural Police have taken action against 18 individuals suspected of conspiring to produce obscene videos for financial gain. Among them are three individuals who rented a bungalow for the filming. According to information received from the Lonavala Rural Police, the gang was producing adult films for obscene digital content providers as well as some obscene OTT platforms. The police had received information that young men and women from various states had come here.

Acting on confidential information received by Police Inspector Kishore Dhumal of Lonavala rural police station, a team under the guidance of Pune Rural SP Pankaj Deshmukh raided the Arnav Villa bungalow in the Patan village near Malavali on Friday night

The case has been registered at Lonavala Rural Police Station under various sections, including Sections 292, 293, and 34 of the Information Technology Act 2008, as well as Section 67 and 67(A) of the same Act. Additionally, charges under Sections 3, 4, 6, and 7 of the Indecent Impersonation of Women Act 1986 have been filed.

Ramkmar Sribhagwan Yadav, Age- 29 years, Resident of Haryana

Rahul Suresh Navarkar, Age-38 years, Resident of Wagle Estate, Thane, Maharashtra

Aniket Pawan Sharma, Age-19 Years, Occupation-Makeup Artist, Resident of Surat, Gujarat,

Vanshaj Sachin Verma, Age-21 years, Resident of Dehradun, Uttarakhand

Manish Hiraman Chaudhary, Age-20 years, Resident of Haryana and 5 female accused
