Lunkad Greenland 2 children hoist flag on Independence day
Lunkad Green Land 2 in Viman Nagar society celebrated 75th Independence Day, of our beloved country India. On 15 August 2021, this year the honour of flag hoisting was given to three young girls of the society, Diya Singh, Sanika Bangar and Kuntal Desai. These girls cleared their 10th and 12th board exams this year. For the society they represent the young, vibrant new generation ,who are facing challenges of Covid Pandemic, to complete their crucial education on line. Always smiling and participating in all the society cultural and religious activities.
They are proud of societies green initiatives like rainwater harvesting, garbage segregation , wet garbage composting, dry plastic segregation and energy saving methods to reduce societies carbon emissions. In 2015 these three young one’s along with other young children, participated on skits depicting importance of environment protection. This was projected to then commissioner of Pune, and Vandana Chavan and other PMC officials in Capt Wadke Hall, in Dec 2015.
Management Committee feels humbly proud that our young citizens are aware of adverse effects of rising Global Warming on our climate.
