Maha govt sanctions new police stations in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad

Maharashtra state government in a meeting held in Mantralaya today sanctioned new police stations in Pune city and rural areas. 
The meeting was held by Ajit Pawar, deputy chief minister of Maharashtra and was attended by Minister for state home affairs, Anil Deshmukh, MLA Ashok Pawar, Chetan Tupe, Sunil Tingre, finance department chief secretary Debashish Chakrabarty, Director General of Police Subodh Jaiswal, finance department secretary Rajiv Mittal, PMRDA Commissioner Suhas Divase, Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta, Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Krishna Prakash, Pune rural Superintendent Abhinav Deshmukh were present. 

New Police stations which were approved by Ajit Pawar are Wagholi, Uruli Kanchan, Baner, Kalepadal, Kharadi, Phursungi, Mhalunge, Ravet and Shirgaon. 

The decision was taken after considering the increasing population and also to maintain law and order in thes vast developing areas around Pune city. 
In the meeting held three zones were divided in five zones, wherein Loni Kalbhor, Lonikand shall function under Pune Police Commissionerate, while Lonikand police station shall hve Wagholi police station, Loni Kalbhor shall have Uruli Kanchan police station, Haveli police station shall have Nanded Ciry police station, Chatushringi and Hinjawadi police station shall have Baner police station, Kondhwa Wanowrie Police station Kalepadal police station, Phursungi, Kharadi under Chandan nagar police station. Under Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate new police stations such as Mhalunge, Ravet, Shirgaon have been sanctioned. 

Divisional deputy police officers office has been given sanction in the meeting held for Shirur, while Pune district Planning Committee is allowed to use funds of Rs one crore for procuring new vehicles in order to maintain law and order situation in the city to Pune city Police Commissionerate and Pune Rural Police and Rs Two crores for Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. Ajit Pawar also assured that there won’t be any short of funds.
