Maharashtra Education Dept Launches Official Class 11 Admission Portal; Student Registration Begins May 19
Mumbai, May 10, 2025 — The Maharashtra School Education Department has officially launched the online portal for Class 11 admissions for the academic year 2025–26. The new website, https://mahafyjcadmissions.in, will serve as the central platform for all admission-related processes across the state.
As per the announcement, all junior colleges in Maharashtra can now register on the portal. Student registrations will commence from May 19, and the entire admission process will be conducted exclusively online for all districts.
Technical Delays and Fake Website Warning
Although the portal was originally scheduled to go live on May 8, technical glitches delayed the launch by a couple of days. During this period, authorities discovered that a fake website had been created using the official logo of the state government and images of the School Education Minister. This fraudulent portal was reportedly promoting certain private junior colleges.
The education department has taken note of the issue and is expected to take action, though no official punitive steps have been announced so far.
Advisory for Students and Parents
A senior education officer urged applicants to exercise caution. “We request all students and parents to rely only on the official website for registration and updates. Avoid third-party links or unofficial platforms to prevent falling prey to scams,” the officer said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

With the portal now active, junior colleges must complete their registration process, following which students can begin submitting their applications starting May 19. Officials have confirmed that the portal will include step-by-step guidelines, FAQs, and helpline details to assist applicants throughout the admission cycle.
