Maharashtra Government Approves New Logo And Tagline For Tourism DevelopmentÂ
The Maharashtra Government has officially approved a new logo and tagline for the Tourism Department, Tourism Directorate, and Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC). This decision was announced through a government ordinance. According to Government Resolution No. TDS 2024/07/Pr.No.35/Tourism-3, issued by the Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department on July 26, 2024, this initiative aims to enhance the national and international promotion of tourist destinations in Maharashtra. The objective is to attract both domestic and foreign tourists and boost the state’s tourism sector.
Consequently, a single logo and tagline will be used consistently across the Tourism Department, Tourism Directorate, and MTDC. The departments are required to use the new logo and tagline responsibly and ensure that no misuse of the previous logos and taglines occurs. The ordinance also specifies that the use of the new logo and tagline will not result in any financial implications. The new branding will be prominently displayed in all promotional activities of the Tourism Department, and no other department is permitted to use the old logos and taglines. Instructions regarding this decision have been sent to all relevant offices. This initiative is expected to significantly promote Maharashtra’s tourism on both national and international platforms.
