The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has officially finalized the schedule for announcing the Class 12 (HSC) examination results for 2026. Students who appeared for the exams can expect their much-awaited scores to be released on May 2, bringing an end to weeks of anticipation across the state.
As per the official announcement, the board will declare the HSC results at 11:00 AM through a press briefing. Following this, students will be able to access their marks online from 1:00 PM onwards via the official result portals.
The Class 12 examinations for the academic session 2025–26 were conducted between February and March 2026 across all major divisions of the Maharashtra board, including Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, and Konkan. This year, a total of 15,32,000 students registered for the examination, reflecting the massive scale of participation across the state.
Student Registration and Stream-wise Breakdown
Out of the total candidates, the gender-wise distribution shows 8,20,229 boys and 7,12,240 girls appearing for the exams, along with 18 transgender students who also participated.
Stream-wise registrations are as follows:
- Science stream: 7,99,773 students
- Arts stream: 3,80,692 students
- Commerce stream: 3,20,152 students
- Vocational courses: 27,308 students
- ITI candidates: 4,492 students
Region-wise data highlights Mumbai division as having the highest number of examinees with 3,52,718 students, while the Konkan division recorded the lowest participation with 24,013 students.
