The wait is almost over for students awaiting the final merit list for B Pharmacy and M Pharmacy courses. According to officials, the merit list will be declared on December 12, and students can take admissions between December 13-16.

The application process for the third round of admissions concluded on Monday. This development comes after the Supreme Court directed the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) to implement the accreditation process of pharmacy colleges by October 31.

The PCI had also set a deadline of November 30 for submitting objections or suggestions on the accreditation process. Consequently, the PCI instructed state admission authorities to complete the admission process by November 30.

However, the model code of conduct for state assembly elections, effective from October 25, prevented the state government from approving new colleges. As a result, admissions to pharmacy courses were suspended.

So far, two rounds of admission for B Pharmacy courses have been completed, with 21,917 students admitted. Additionally, 2,222 students have been admitted for M Pharmacy courses. After the third round, colleges can conduct institutional-level admissions for vacant seats between December 18-23.
