The Director of Primary and Secondary Education recently proposed to the School Education Department to grant students relaxation in attendance due to the rising temperatures.
This proposal has swiftly garnered approval. By providing flexibility in attendance, authorities aim to ensure that students can better cope with the heat while continuing their educational pursuits.
Starting next Monday, April 22, students across all state schools will enjoy concessions regarding their attendance.

Tushar Mahajan, Deputy Secretary of the School Education Department, has issued clear directives to the Directors of Primary and Secondary Education for the smooth implementation of this relaxation.
The recent surge in temperatures has prompted this proactive measure to safeguard students’ well-being.
Consequently, all students in state board schools will be exempted from attending classes. However, for schools under other boards, decisions regarding attendance will be left to the discretion of the school administration.

In cases where schools under different boards maintain regular schedules or are engaged in significant educational activities, administrators are urged to make informed decisions regarding student attendance. It has been emphasized that the Directors of Primary and Secondary Education will oversee the enforcement of these directives.
Therefore, the approval of attendance relaxation reflects a proactive approach by the education department in addressing the adverse effects of rising temperatures on students.
