Maharashtra Weather Alert: Cold Wave To Intensify, Temperatures To Drop Sharply On November 13
Maharashtra is set to experience a significant dip in temperatures this week, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a cold wave alert for several parts of the state.
The weather department has forecast bone-chilling conditions on Thursday, November 13, as minimum temperatures continue to drop across regions.
With rainfall subsiding, dry and cold weather has gripped most parts of the state. In Mumbai, temperatures are expected to range between 18°C and 32°C, with clear skies prevailing throughout the day. Residents have already begun to feel a noticeable chill in the air.
In western Maharashtra, Pune will record a minimum temperature of around 14°C and a maximum of 30°C, while Kolhapur will see lows near 19°C. Northern Maharashtra is witnessing even sharper drops — Jalgaon’s minimum temperature could fall to 9°C, and Nashik is expected to record around 11°C, resulting in severe cold conditions.
Marathwada too continues to face chilly mornings, with Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar expected to touch 12°C and Nanded around 14°C. Vidarbha region, including Nagpur and Amravati, will also experience cold mornings and evenings, with minimum temperatures of 13°C and 12°C respectively.
Meteorologists predict that the cold wave will persist in the coming days. Citizens are advised to wear warm clothing, stay indoors during early mornings and late evenings, and keep themselves hydrated to avoid health issues during this cold spell.
