Maharashtra is bracing itself for varied weather conditions in the coming days, with some regions experiencing relief from sweltering heat while others face challenges posed by rising temperatures. In Mumbai, residents anticipate potential relief from the scorching temperatures that have persisted recently.

Despite another day of hot and humid conditions expected, mainly clear skies offer a glimmer of respite, with temperatures forecasted to slightly decrease to around 36 degrees Celsius for the maximum and 22 degrees Celsius for the minimum.

Over the past 24 hours, Mumbai recorded temperatures within the expected range, with a maximum of 32.0°C and a minimum of 24.3°C. However, the upcoming 48 hours are predicted to see temperatures hovering around 36°C and 22°C, respectively, with mainly clear skies prevailing over the next seven days.

The recent temperature surge, attributed to prevailing easterly winds, has made Thursday the hottest day of the season, reaching a maximum of 38.8 degrees Celsius.

In contrast, interior parts of Maharashtra anticipate a surge in temperatures, posing challenges for residents and agricultural activities.

Vidarbha, known for its agricultural produce, faces a more pronounced temperature rise, potentially impacting farming practices. However, regions like Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada may experience minimal changes in maximum temperatures, providing some relief from the intense heat.

While Mumbai anticipates relief from sweltering conditions, Maharashtra’s varied weather poses challenges for different regions.
