Pimpri Chinchwad, July 2 – Maharashtra’s first and only “Waste to Wonder World Theme Park” is currently being developed at Rajmata Jijau Garden in Pimple Saudagar, Pimpri Chinchwad. This unique project, undertaken by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), will recreate world-famous monuments using scrap and discarded materials.

The theme park will feature 17 historic structures, including seven wonders of the world such as the Taj Mahal, Eiffel Tower, Burj Khalifa, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Sydney Opera House, Ajanta Caves, and La Sagrada Familia. Other iconic monuments like Chichen Itza, Pyramids of Giza, Petra of Jordan, Colosseum of Rome, Big Ben of London, Angkor Wat of Cambodia, Hampi Chariot, Statue of Liberty, Trevi Fountain, and Mount Rushmore will also be crafted.

The entire project is estimated to cost around ₹11.02 crore. It is being built under the vision and guidance of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Pune District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar.

Speaking about the project, Nana Kate said, “This theme park will not only beautify our city but also give new life to waste materials by turning them into art. It will become a landmark that Pimpri Chinchwad can be proud of and will surely attract tourists from across Maharashtra and beyond.”

Once completed, this “Waste to Wonder World Theme Park” will not only enhance the pride and beauty of Pimpri Chinchwad but is also expected to become a prominent tourist attraction in Maharashtra.

Officials recently visited the construction site to review the progress and explore ways to open the park to the public at the earliest. The park is set to open soon for citizens to visit and enjoy.
