Mahindra Thar Roxx Black Edition Incoming – John Abraham Reveals His Love for Black Cars
Mahindra has recently shared a video featuring John Abraham on social media, discussing the forthcoming Thar Roxx Black Edition.
Mahindra & Mahindra has recently introduced the Scorpio N Carbon Edition in India. In a bid to enhance their lineup of black-themed SUVs, the company is set to unveil the XUV700 Ebony Edition. Following this, the Black Edition of the Thar Roxx is also expected to make its debut in the Indian market.
The Chief Design and Creative Officer of Mahindra & Mahindra has hinted at the forthcoming iteration of the off-road SUV through a social media post that includes John Abraham.
The post, featuring a brief video, shows Bollywood actor John Abraham shares his preference for black cars, revealing that his entire garage is filled with them. The accompanying caption states, “When it’s a Thar ROXX in the works for a special someone, the anticipation knows no bounds. The countdown is on.” This suggests an imminent launch of the Black Edition of the SUV, aligning with current trends.
The all-black variant of the Mahindra Thar Roxx is expected to receive a unique name for this edition, possibly something like Carbon Edition or Ebony Edition, similar to what has been done for the Scorpio N and XUV700. Additionally, it will likely showcase a fully black aesthetic, including black alloy wheels and black interior finishes. It is anticipated that this model will be derived from the highest-spec trims of the SUV.
As of now, the Mahindra Thar Roxx comes in six different trim options: MX1, MX3, AX3L, MX5, AX5L, and AX7L. Each trim is equipped with a range of features, such as a spacious 10.25-inch touchscreen, LED projector headlights, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, push-button ignition, front and rear center armrests, rear air conditioning vents, larger 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a panoramic sunroof. In terms of safety, the vehicle includes six airbags, a 360-degree camera, a comprehensive suite of ADAS Level 2 features, rear disc brakes, and more.
This version of the vehicle is expected to feature primarily cosmetic updates. The SUV will maintain its performance with either a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol engine or a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. These engines can be matched with either a manual transmission or an automatic transmission. Additionally, the diesel variant offers the choice of a 4×4 system.
