Major Accident : Container Overturns on Bhumkar Bridge in Pune, Leading to Traffic Jam

Pune – A container overturned on the Bhumkar bridge near Navale bridge in the Narhe area of Pune on the Mumbai-Bangalore highway at approximately 10:30 in the morning. The container was transporting coal from Satara to Mumbai. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the accident.

According to additional information, the container crashed through the iron divider near Bhumkar Bridge and toppled in the opposite direction, causing the coal inside to spill onto the highway. This incident has attracted a large crowd of onlookers. The container driver sustained injuries and has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.

Eyewitnesses have reported that the container traveled approximately 100 meters in the opposite direction of the road after breaking through the divider. The Sinhagad Traffic Department has arrived at the scene, resulting in a significant traffic jam. Police are making efforts to ease the flow of traffic in the area.
