Major Accident : Two PMPML buses collide on Pune – Ahmednagar Highway ; 29 passengers injured

On 1st August, at 8:45 am, two buses of PMPML met with a gruesome accident on Pune-Ahmednagar highway.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Satish Gate, PRO, PMPML, said “In the morning time of 1st August, a PMPML CNG bus of Narveer Tanaji wadi bus depot, while coming from Talegaon Dhamdhere & going towards PMC, collided fiercely with another PMPML bus near Janak Baba Dargah in opposite direction near BRT. Both the buses were commuting at high speed and collided on each other.”

As per information from Satish Gate, no casualties happened. However, total 29 people, including both drivers, both conductors & passengers, have been injured.

They have been taken to Sassoon hospital, the injured have faced wounds on their hands, face and legs, among the injured are 25 passengers which includes 17 men & 8 women, two drivers and two conductors, but none of them are serious at present, all of them are undergoing treatment.

The exact damage of both buses is yet unknown, but prima facie, it can be noted that front sides of both buses have literally immersed into each other.
