Starting April 1, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has enforced strict FASTag regulations across all its toll plazas. Vehicle owners without FASTag will now have to pay double the toll fee, as cash payments and other digital methods like smart cards and QR codes have been completely discontinued.

No More Hybrid Lanes

Previously, MSRDC toll plazas operated on a hybrid system, allowing payments through various means. However, all such lanes have now been converted to dedicated FASTag lanes, making it mandatory for all vehicles to have a FASTag sticker.

Important Guidelines for Motorists

MSRDC has urged all vehicle owners to install FASTag at the earliest to avoid paying double toll charges. This new rule applies to all nine road projects under MSRDC, covering key highways and expressways. Motorists are advised to check their FASTag validity and maintain sufficient balance before traveling.
