A devastating collision occurred at Bhoste Ghat on the Mumbai Goa Highway, resulting in a tragic incident that unfolded around 6 PM today. The collision involved two trucks, both of which careened into a deep 35-foot gorge. Reports suggest that as many as four to five individuals were reportedly trapped within the wreckage of the trucks, adding to the gravity of the situation. One of the trucks, laden with fishnets, collided in a catastrophic manner with a sizeable container.

Prompt response from the authorities involved the deployment of a JCB to facilitate the extraction of the individuals who were feared to be trapped within the mangled vehicles. It has been revealed that both trucks were en route from Goa to Mumbai when the unfortunate mishap transpired within the treacherous Bhoste ghat.

The sequence of events witnessed the first truck, an Eicher, losing control and plunging into a deep 40-foot gorge, followed closely by the subsequent fall of the logistic container.

In a display of courage and community spirit, local youths from Morwandi Boras took it upon themselves to aid in the rescue efforts. Their valiant endeavors stretched on for nearly an hour, as they tirelessly worked to extricate the victims from the clutches of the wreckage.

The rescue operation persevered even as evening fell, underlining the unwavering determination to save lives and provide aid.
