Pimpri Chinchwad Crime Branch recently executed a significant operation, unveiling a sex racket operating within a popular five-star hotel located in the Wakad area.
Law enforcement took action and rescued a Bhojpuri actress, a model, and arrested an agent, allegedly involved in the illicit prostitution business. Acting on a tip-off regarding the unlawful activities, the police conducted a raid on Friday evening at the said hotel, leading to the discovery of two women working as models and actresses.
The accused individuals enticed women by offering monetary incentives to engage in the prostitution business. Clients were charged Rs. 25,000 for a night’s services and Rs. 15,000 for an afternoon encounter. This successful operation by the Pimpri Chinchwad Crime Branch serves as a stern warning that activities such as prostitution and sex trafficking will not be tolerated in the city. The authorities are determined to take stringent action against anyone involved in such criminal enterprises.
According to Police Inspector Devendra Chavan, they received reliable information about a sex racket being run by a Bhojpuri actress and model, in collaboration with an agent, within a prominent five-star hotel. Adopting an undercover approach, they assumed the role of a potential customer and established contact with the agent online. The agent, subsequently, instructed the undercover officer to book a room at the five-star hotel and even shared photographs of the actress and model. After the undercover officer was confirmed as a client, it became evident that the agent and the two women were complicit in the sex racket. Consequently, a raid was conducted at the five-star hotel, resulting in the arrest of the agent and the two women involved in the illicit activities.
