Malayalam Actor Nirmal Benny Dies of Heart Attack at 37
Malayalam actor Nirmal Benny, widely known for his role in the film Amen, has died at the age of 37 due to a heart attack. The news of his untimely death was confirmed on August 23, 2024, by his close friend and producer Sanjay Padiyoor through a heartfelt Facebook post.
In his post, Sanjay Padiyoor expressed his grief over the loss of his friend, stating, “Bidding adieu to my dear friend… The Kochachan role of ‘Amen’ and the central character he played in my ‘Dooram’. He died early this morning due to a heart attack. Praying to God that the soul of my dear friend rests in eternal peace.” Nirmal passed away in Thiruvananthapuram in the early hours of the morning.
Nirmal Benny began his acting career in 2012 with the movie Navagatharkku Swagatham and gained recognition for his portrayal of Kochachan, a junior priest, in Lijo Jose Pellissery’s acclaimed film Amen. He also appeared in a total of five films, including Amen and Dooram, and was well-known for his performances in popular YouTube videos.
