Man stabbed to death with swords & spears outside Mangala theatre; Investigation is on

Pune: In a horrific incident, a man was brutally murdered outside Mangala Theatre in Shivaji Nagar area by 10 to 12 unidentified people armed with swords and spears. The incident occurred on the intervening night of August 15 and August 16. The victim is identified as Nitin Mhaske.
As per information, the incident took place around one o’clock in the morning on Wednesday (August 16). Mhaske had a fight with a few people in the Koregaon Park area a few days ago. At that time, Mhaske hit one of the accused. To take revenge, the accused decided to kill Mhaske. Mhaske went to watch a movie at Mangala Talkies in Pune on Tuesday night. After the movie ended at 1 am, Mhaske came out and was surrounded by 10 to 12 people. Using swords, spears, sticks, iron rods etc, they hit Mhaske repeatedly after which he died on the spot. All the accused left the spot immediately after committing the crime.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Shivajinagar Police Station. Further investigation is going on.
