Mangaluru airport bomb threat: Email says ‘bomb placed inside a plane…’

The Mangaluru International Airport authorities received an email on Wednesday stating that bombs had been placed inside ‘one of your planes and inside the airport’ so they began a massive search operation.

A self-described terrorist organization known only as “Funing” sent threatening emails to Mangaluru and other airports around the nation. The email claimed that there were explosives within the airport and the aircraft, that they were well hidden, and that they would detonate in a few hours.

The email further said that one of the planes had explosives on board & also within your airport. The explosives are only a few hours away, and they are well hidden.”I’ll murder each and every one of you. We Are A Group Of Terrorists Named “Funing,” the mail said. The email was discovered by airport authorities on Wednesday morning. They notified the Police in Mangaluru. An investigation was started by the authorities at the Mangaluru International Airport.

After searching for hours, the police found nothing suspicious. The commissioner of Mangaluru Police said that the airport’s security has been strengthened. More checkpoints had been established by the police, and the authorities were inspecting the airport for bombs and sabotage.

Regarding the incident, a police complaint has been made.
