Manoj Jarange Patil To Hold Rally In Pune On August 11Â
On Sunday, a peace rally will be held in Pune, led by Maratha activist Manoj Jarange-Patil, demanding reservation for the Maratha community under the OBC category. Preparations in Pimpri-Chinchwad are complete, with local community members urged to participate.
The rally is organized by the Maratha Kranti Morcha, Pimpri-Chinchwad.
Jarange-Patil has been leading various protests over the past months to secure OBC reservation for Marathas. He has been touring Western Maharashtra since August 7 to raise awareness and promote peace within the community. After visiting Solapur, Sangli, Kolhapur, and Satara, he will arrive in Pune on Sunday, August 11.
Thousands of volunteers from Pune district have been organizing the event for weeks. In Pimpri-Chinchwad, hundreds of Maratha activists have held numerous meetings over the past five days, receiving enthusiastic support.
On Sunday, Jarange-Patil will finish his visit to Satara and reach Sarasbaug near Swargate at 11 a.m. The rally will begin from Sarasbaug and proceed through Bajirao Road, Appa Balwant Chowk, Shaniwarwada, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Bridge, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Memorial, Jungli Maharaj Road, Bal Gandharva Chowk, and finally to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Statue on Deccan Road. The rally will end with a public meeting where Jarange-Patil will address the crowd
Residents from various parts of Pimpri-Chinchwad, including Shilp Chowk, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk, and Dange Chowk, will join the rally in large numbers. Thousands from areas like Kalewadi, Thergaon, and Wakad will participate in motorcycle rallies to Pune.
