A men’s rights activist, who goes by Kish Siff on social media platform X, recently shared a shocking exchange with a potential matrimonial match after she discovered his real salary. Siff, whose profile claims he is a counselor with the men’s rights NGO Save Indian Family Foundation, posted screenshots of a conversation where a “typo” in his matrimonial profile led to an abrupt fallout.

Siff initially claimed an annual salary of ₹30 lakh but later revealed his actual income was ₹3 lakh, attributing the error to an extra zero. The woman, who had been keen on an early engagement, was taken aback by the revelation. She had been urging Siff to expedite the engagement process, but he suggested taking more time to get to know each other, noting it would be the second marriage for both of them. However, the woman insisted, saying, “Can’t wait or we find other match.”

After he agreed to an engagement in mid-November, Siff clarified the “small typo” regarding his salary. The woman’s response was explosive. She lashed out, using language that Siff described as “too distasteful to reproduce here.”

Siff’s post on X quickly caught attention, with many sharing their thoughts on the exchange. He remarked that the woman had seemed “nice all these days” until he corrected the typo. The conversation has sparked debate on social media, with some questioning the importance of financial expectations in marriage proposals and others expressing support for transparency in profiles.
