Massive fire breaks out due to cylinder blast at Vimannagar 

A huge fire broke out near Rohan Mithila Building, near Symbiosis College, Viman Nagar due to bursting of approximately 10 to 12 cylinders. 

As per information, 3 fire vehicles have been deployed to douse the fire.

As per information shared by Devendra Potphode, Chief Fire Officer, PMC, on 27/12/2023 at 2:40 pm at Viman Nagar, there were temporary houses of workers at Horizon Developers, Neon Sites next to Symbiosis College, Rohan Mithila building. There was a stock of around 100 domestic and commercial gas cylinders at a nearby construction site. The fire started due to bursting of approximately 10 to 12 cylinders at that place.

The vehicles of Pune and PMRDA fire brigade arrived in time and extinguished the fire in time. 

It is worthy to note that no information about who owns the said cylinder stock is yet available. At present the fire is extinguished and the cooling work is going on.

Since the fire brigade vehicles arrived on time and it was afternoon, there were no workers there. So fortunately, injuries or loss of life were avoided.
