Mayor Baburao Sanas Memorial Pune Derby held on October 15 

Sanas Group has been sponsoring a race every year for the past 6 years in Memory of Late Baburao Sanas, The first Mayor of Pune City.

This year Surendra Sanas (Chairman Sanas Group) and family have taken the opportunity to sponsor the most prestigious race, The Pune Derby.

Baburao Sanas had a vision and unwavering passion for the development of Pune City and under his leadership the city grew into becoming one of the major metropolitans in India. Surendra Sanas is continuing the vision and is living by the guideline set by his forefathers and this shows in his approach to his real Estate He is a horse lover and has been in racing for over 40 years.

Currently he is the Chairman of RWITC for the second term and has been putting his heart and in driving the sport of racing and the RWITC forward along with his Committee Members.

The Mayor Baburao Sanas memorial Pune derby was a massive success and hosted the who’s who from Pune and beyond. An action packed day of racing coupled with lively entertainment and sumptuous food & blended together to make one of the most memorable days of Pune racing!
