Ministry of Railways approves suburban train service between Shivajinagar to Lonavala
Mega Block on Pune- Lonavala section of Pune Division on 18th Feb
The Ministry of Railways has approved the request of Railway Prawasi Sangh, Pimpri Chinchwad to start a suburban train service between Shivaji Nagar & Lonavala.
As per information from the approval letter from the Ministry of Railways accessed by Pune Pulse, “In response to a request dated 10.01.2024, regarding the introduction of new suburban train service between Shivaji Nagar and Lonavala, the Ministry of Railways approves introduction of 99838/37 Shivaji Nagar-Lonavala Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) to the following abstract timings:

The above introduction may be given effect from an early convenient date under the advice of this office. If required, the inaugural train may be planned as a special service which should pick up its link subsequently.”
