Mission Kavach Kundal launched in Pune district
To increase the number of vaccination, Mission Kavach Kundal shall be implemented in the Pune district from October 8-14, 2021. Atleast one dose of vaccination to hundred percent capable citizen would be given till Dussehra during this initiative.
The information was announced by deputy chief minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar at the weekly review meeting held at Council Hall on October 8, 2021.
Pune ranks second in the state for being the highest number of vaccinated people.
In Pune district till October 6, 1 crore 9 lakh 23 thousand 13 people have been vaccinated, wherein Pune Municipal Corporation jurisdiction 47,3,154, as well as Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation 20,57,20 people have been vaccinated and in Pune rural areas 41,62,839 are vaccinated. In this, 73, 17,438 have taken first dose (88 percent) while 36, 05,585 have taken second dose (49 percent).
In the special drive held under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav for 75 hours held during September 30-3 October, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Ramkrishna More Auditorium, Bhosari, Ankush Landge Sabhagruha, Pimple Gurav’s Nilu Phule hall 16,818 citizens were Vaccination.
In Pune Municipal Corporation jurisdiction, Nehru hospital and Sutar hospital, under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav initiative, from 5 October the Vaccination drive is being held, while in Pune rural, drive is being held at Primary health centers in Wagholi, Daund, Khadakwasla, Loni Kalbhor, Hinjawadi on October 11 for 75 hours at a stretch.
