Mono rail to come in PMC ‘s garden in Kothrud

Pune Municipal Corporation is all set to introduce mono rail in its public garden in Kothrud. Mono rail at Tatyasaheb Thorat Udyan shall be an attraction for young as well as the old. 

PMC Murlidhar Mohol announced the information recently that this will be the first battery operated mono rail to come up in Pune. This mono rail project will have 72 volt DC battery operator mono rail, consisting of two bogies and two cabins for the driver. 410 RMT track shall be developed for this mono rail. Security railing, platform, ticket counter shall also be constructed at this spot.  

The construction and maintenance contract shall be given to Kolkata based Breathweight Company at the cost of Rs 5 crores 47 lakhs for which funds would be provided my development funds, said Mohol. This mono rail project shall add feather in Pune’s cap for bringing innovative concepts in the city, added Mohol.
