Moshi-Charholi 90-meter road work: PCMC officials and BJP MLA Mahesh Landge carry out inspections

Pune: The Moshi-Charholi 90-meter road, which will be developed as a major ‘artery’ to increase the ‘connectivity’ of Pimpri-Chinchwad city to Pune and the surrounding industrial belt, is in progress. Out of this 9,563 meter road 7,803 meter road has been developed. BJP MLA Mahesh Landge has suggested that the remaining two km of road work should be completed in the next 6 months.

Mahesh Landge, BJP MLA, Bhosari Constituency said, “From Pimpri-Chinchwad city to Nagar highway, Moshi-Charholi 90 meter road to go to Solapur highway will be ‘superfast’. Along with this, the ‘Chikhali-Moshi-Charholi residential corridor’ is developing rapidly and will help the citizens of this area to enable ‘connectivity’ to Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Lohegaon airport and industrial belt. The road work within Pune Municipal Corporation limits has started. It is expected that the road in the Pimpri-Chinchwad boundary should be developed in the next 6 months.”

As per the information, the work of the Moshi to Charholi 90-meter road is currently in progress. This road starts from Jaiganesh Samrajya Chowk in Moshi under Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and ends at Pride City, Charholi. In the first phase, 7,803 meters of road have been developed out of 9,563 meters. MLA Mahesh Landge conducted an ‘on-field’ inspection and discussion with Shekhar Singh, Municipal Commissioner regarding land acquisition of the remaining 2 km road, farmers’ questions etc.

Former Mayor Nitin Kalje, PMC additional commissioner Pradeep Jambhale-Patil, PMC Additional Commissioner Vijay Khorate, Joint Director of Town Planning Department Sandesh Khatare along with officials of the concerned department were present.

The Moshi-Charholi-Chikhali residential corridor is developing rapidly. The administration has been instructed to complete the work on this road in the next six months. This highway will be important to increase the ‘connectivity’ of Charholi, Pride City and the surrounding areas and to go from Pimpri-Chinchwad to Pune-Solapur Highway, Pune-Nagar Highway. The work of this road has started from Wagholi to Charholi from Pune Municipal Corporation. Therefore, this road is going to be a major ‘artery’ enabling the transport of Pimpri-Chinchwad along with Charholi in the future. Through the municipal administration, PCMC Additional Commissioner Vijay Khorate will hold a review meeting at least once in 15 days and Commissioner Shekhar Singh once a month for this work.
