Pune: NCP MP Supriya Sule expressed her concern regarding the road accidents in the Baramati constituency, particularly on the Mumbai-Bangalore bypass. She is determined to establish a ‘zero accident zone’ in her Lok Sabha constituency. Sule has been actively addressing this issue with the Union Roads Ministry in Delhi and has also been undertaking the necessary follow-up at the local level.

As per the information provided, the occurrence of accidents on the highway roads within the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency is disturbing, as it leads to injuries and fatalities. Sule’s goal is to ensure the safety of the area and minimize the number of accidents.

Sule emphasized the importance of road safety during her evaluation of the road safety initiatives implemented by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) at high-risk locations. The area near Navale Bridge on the Mumbai-Bangalore bypass is particularly worrisome, and measures are being taken to address this issue.

Sule mentioned that a meeting involving experts and officials from the Union Roads and Highway Ministry is scheduled to take place next month, where they will conduct an on-site assessment of the accident-prone area and propose potential solutions.
