During the Diwali season, the residents of Pune are advised by the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) to exercise caution while bursting firecrackers. 

Additionally, the MPCB has successfully tested all 14 types of firecrackers and found that their noise levels are below the standard limit of 125 decibels.

As per the information provided, firecrackers testing exercise took place on Wednesday evening at the College of Agriculture’s grounds. The assortment of firecrackers included small crackers, Laxmi bars, Lavangi, Sutali tota, and others. 

Annually, the board conducts this exercise a week prior to the Diwali festival. This year, the exercise was conducted on Wednesday.

As per the information received, a total of 14 different firecrackers were tested, all of which reported noise levels below the standard 125 decibels. 

The board also urged residents to take necessary precautions while bursting firecrackers during the Diwali festival.
