The Mumbai CST-Sainagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express holds a significant place in the hearts of passengers, as it has gained immense popularity since its launch in 2019. This semi-high-speed train, operated by the national transporter, is currently serving 34 diverse routes. Notably, all these routes witness a remarkable occupancy rate of over 90 percent.

The Mumbai CSMT-Sainagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express train, with the number 22225/22226, was launched on February 10, 2023. Since its commencement, the train has consistently maintained an occupancy rate of over 70 percent. During the month of October, the train, adorned in blue and white colors, recorded an occupancy rate of 75.39 percent on the route between Mumbai CSMT and Sainagar Shirdi. Similarly, on the return journey, it achieved an occupancy rate of 75.56 percent.

In the previous month, the number of passengers who embarked on the Vande Bharat Express between Mumbai CSMT and Sainagar Shirdi reached a total of 22111. Similarly, the Sainagar Shirdi-Mumbai CSMT Vande Bharat Express train accommodated 22162 passengers. These figures highlight the addition of Maharashtra’s third modern train, following the Mumbai Central-Gandhinagar Capital and Mumbai CSMT-Solapur Vande Bharat Express services.

The Vande Bharat Express connecting Mumbai and Sainagar Shirdi covers a distance of 343 km in just five hours and 10 minutes, making it the fastest train on this route. The other trains plying on this route are the Dadar-Sainagar Shirdi Express and the Dadar-Sainagar Shirdi Express, which take 06:00 hrs and 09:40 hrs respectively to cover the same distance. The Mumbai-Sainagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express makes four stops during its journey at Dadar, Thane, Kalyan Junction, and Nashik Road. This train operates six days a week, except on Tuesdays.
