Pune : Ultraman Lt Col Swaroop Singh Kuntal wins 75 Kms Khadakwasla Ultramarathon Rally

Pune: Lt Col Swaroop Singh Kuntal has won the rally of Khadakwasla Ultramarathon as he completed the 75 km distance in just 6 hours & 59 minutes.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Kuntal said, “I had participated in the 75 kilometers Khadakwasla Ultramarathon. The rally was all along the Khadakwasla Lake. It started from one of the banks of Khadakwasla Lake which went on for a distance of 75 km. The rally started early morning on November 5 at 3:00 a.m. I won by finishing the rally in just 6 hrs 59 minutes, covering a total distance of 75 km. I feel extremely proud of this accomplishment.”

As per information shared by Kuntal, around 125 participants participated in this Khadakwasla Ultramarathon rally.

Narrating his journey further, Kuntal shared that the Khadakwasla Ultramarathon was organized by Bavdhan Brigade Runners, Pune. The route was along Khadakwasla Lake Parikrama full of ups and downs with an elevation gain of 800 meters in 75 kilometres. It was a challenging route due to temperature and elevation.

Lt Col Swaroop Singh Kuntal is a Paratrooper, an IITian, an Ironman, an Ultraman, a Triathlete, and an Ultramarathoner.

In the past, he has won several Ultramarathons and triathlons including fastest Indian in Ironman Malaysia 2019, and is the winner of Ultraman India comprising 10 km of swimming, 420 km of cycling, and 84.4 km of running in October 2022 at Pong Dam in Himachal Pradesh.
