MPSC Introduces Separate Pre-Examination for Group B and Group C Services
The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has announced a significant change in the recruitment process for Group B and Group C services. In a bid to streamline the examination process and address technical difficulties, the commission has decided to conduct separate pre-examinations for various cadres in these services.
This decision comes after the MPSC faced technical difficulties, court cases, and delays in the examination process. The commission had initially announced plans to revise the pattern of competitive examinations on August 1, 2022, followed by the release of the exam plan for Maharashtra Non-Gazetted Group B and Group C Services Examination on January 19.
The MPSC cited several reasons for this change, including technical difficulties in the 2023 result process, court cases, and court decisions. The increasing number of cadres and candidates appearing for the examination also contributed to this decision. To address these challenges, the commission has decided to conduct separate pre-examinations for Group B and Group C services.
The syllabus for both services will remain unchanged, but separate service-wise pre-examination syllabi will be announced for Group B and Group C. The recruitment process for various cadres of Group B and Group C services will be conducted through MPSC. The examination scheme for Group B (Non-Gazetted) Services Combined Examination and Maharashtra Group C Services Combined Examination will be published on the MPSC website.
Aspirants can expect separate notifications for Group B and Group C services soon. The MPSC will release separate advertisements for both services, providing details on eligibility criteria, exam dates, and other relevant information. This change aims to bring transparency and efficiency to the recruitment process, benefiting thousands of candidates who appear for these examinations every year.
