MSEDCL assures to address electricity issues of Chakan MIDC : Rajendra Raut

Pune, June 16, 2023: Mahavitran (Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) is swiftly undertaking power system enhancement and expansion works in Chakan MIDC to provide superior and uninterrupted electricity to industrial consumers.

The resolution of power-related challenges faced by industries is being given top priority, ensuring a high level of customer service. Rajendra Pawar, the Chief Engineer of Pune Circle, assured that effective communication with industrial representatives would be maintained to address various concerns.

A joint meeting between Mahavitran and the Federation of Chakan Industries was conducted in Chakan MIDC on Friday (16th), where Chief Engineer Pawar addressed the attendees. Yuvraj Jarag, the Superintending Engineer, Rajendra Edk, the Executive Engineer, Dilip Batwal, the President of the Federation of Chakan Industries, Vinod Jain, Anil Bajaj, and 65 industrial representatives were present at the meeting.

During the gathering, Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar engaged in interactive discussions with the representatives of industrial customers. He mentioned that significant progress had been made under the ‘SSMR’ scheme and the Dindayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti scheme, including the completion of two new switching stations, 142 ring main units, and 28 km of high-pressure power lines. Additionally, under the power system improvement scheme, a project worth Rs. 15 crore 49 lakhs has commenced in Chakan MIDC, encompassing the construction of three new switching stations, capacity enhancement of an existing station, installation of 35 km of new underground lines, upgrading overloaded lines, and introducing six new ring main units.

During the meeting, directors and representatives from various industries shared local issues and their expectations regarding electricity. Mr. Pawar promptly apprised local engineers of the technical measures required to promptly address the power-related concerns. The presence of Vijay Gargote, Deputy Executive Engineer of Mahavitaran, Ramprasad Narwade, Assistant Engineer, and customer representatives from companies such as Chetan Patil, Anil Bhosale, Abhijit Dev, Santosh Hande, and Lokesh Jain contributed to the productive discussions.
