Pune : Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has instructed to promptly install a new transformer if the existing transformer has been burnt or experiencing a malfunction. Following the directives of Devendra Fadnavis, MSEDCL has initiated a comprehensive campaign across the state.

Nevertheless, due to potential delays in receiving information regarding the transformer issues, it is advised that local residents promptly notify the toll-free numbers 1800-212-3435 or 1800-233-3435, or contact the executive engineer at the divisional level.

As per the information provided, in case of transformer malfunctioning in the village, the power supply is interrupted, causing inconvenience to the villagers. MSEDCL has been consistently working towards addressing the issue of delayed installation of transformers to replace the damaged ones.

To achieve this, several measures have been implemented, including ensuring immediate availability of transformer oil and maintaining a stock of repaired transformers. The replacement and repair of transformers are regularly evaluated at the headquarters level on a daily basis.

As per the information received, MSEDCL’s campaign has proven to be a success as they are now able to replace transformers within a mere three days of receiving information about their failure. However, if a transformer is discovered to be on fire, it poses a significant challenge in restoring power supply promptly. To address this issue, MSEDCL is encouraging electricity consumers to lend their support.

In addition to lodging complaints about the burnt transformer through MSEDCL’s toll-free number, electricity consumers have the option to notify the respective Executive Engineer (Administration) via mobile phone.

The contact numbers for Pune Rural Division are :

7875767021- Pune Rural

7875767015- Rasta Peth

7875767010- Ganeshkhind road

In addition, people have the option to share pictures and location details of the affected transformer via WhatsApp. MSEDCL has requested the cooperation of electricity consumers to promptly report any transformer failures in order to expedite the restoration of power supply.
