Pune, March 13, 2024: Two additional sub-centres falling under Mahavitaran’s Pune Circle, specifically Race Course in Wanowrie and Saimistic in Dhankawadi, have recently been granted the prestigious ‘ISO 9001:2015’ certification. This accreditation was bestowed upon the respective sub-centres in the presence of Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar and ‘ISO’ representative Mr. Nandkumar Deshmukh after thorough examinations.

An exceptional feat was achieved by the Race Course sub-centre at Wanowrie, marking the first instance among all power distribution companies in the state to attain independent ISO certification in the categories of quality, environment, and safety simultaneously.

Substations and switching stations play a crucial role in ensuring seamless and high-quality power supply services to consumers. Chief Engineer Shri Rajendra Pawar emphasized on the modernization efforts undertaken in these sub-centres, focusing on aspects such as quality assurance, safety protocols, environmental compliance, medical facilities, and aesthetic enhancements. Notable among the certified facilities are the Racecourse 22/22/11 KV Substation in Rastapeth Division and Sai Mystic 22/22 KV Switching Station in Padmavati Division.

The ISO rating certificates were presented at separate ceremonies held in Dhankawadi and Wanavadi. Additionally, events included employee health check-ups in Wanwadi, the inauguration of a Badminton Court, and a stress relief lecture by Dr. Dutta Kohinkar in Dhankawadi. Deputy Executive Engineer Shri Santosh Patni shed light on electrical safety practices.

The commendable efforts of individuals such as Superintending Engineer Shri Arvind Bulbule, Executive Engineer Shri Sanjeev Nehete (Civil), Shri Chandrakant Dighe (Rastapeth), Shri Ravindra Awad (Padmavati), and others were acknowledged during the events.

Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar remarked, “Mahavitaran substations play a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted power supply. We are committed to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency across all sub-centres, as evidenced by the accelerated efforts leading to the ISO 9001:2015 certification of five such facilities. We extend our appreciation to all involved parties for this achievement.”
