In Western Maharashtra, a total of 1,643,065 electricity consumers in the domestic, commercial, and industrial categories have arrears of Rs 354 crore. To address this issue, MSEDCL is urging the electricity consumers to fulfill their responsibility by promptly paying their current and outstanding bills.

To facilitate the payment process, MSEDCL’s official electricity bill payment centers in Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, and Solapur districts will remain open during office hours on Saturday (28th) and Sunday (29th). In the past 25 days, power supply has been disconnected for 29,068 defaulters in western Maharashtra.

Among these, Pune district has the highest number of defaulters with 18,984, followed by Satara with 2,259, Solapur with 3,335, Kolhapur with 2,578, and Sangli district with 1,912. Currently, in Pune district, domestic, commercial, and industrial consumers owe Rs 222.51 crore, while in Satara, the amount is Rs 22.75 crore.

In Solapur, the outstanding amount is Rs 51.72 crore, in Sangli it is Rs 26.23 crore, and in Kolhapur district, it is Rs 30.81 crore. The recovery of these bills is crucial for the financial viability of MSEDCL. Therefore, Ankush Nale, the Pune Regional Director, is appealing to all electricity consumers to cooperate by promptly settling their current and outstanding bills. To make the payment process more convenient, electricity consumers can pay their bills online without any limit through the website www.mahadiscom.in or by using the mobile app of MSEDCL (Maharashtra).
