Pimpri Chinchwad police takes action against 1,500 heavy vehicles in 5 days for flouting norms

Pune: The Pimpri Chinchwad Police have taken action against 1,532 heavy vehicles in just 5 days for breaking the rules of entry timings in the Pimpri Chinchwad premises.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Prasad Gokule, Police Inspector, Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police said, “The entry timings of heavy vehicles in the Pimpri Chinchwad premises were decided in the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate 2 to 3 months ago. Hence, the morning timing of 8 am to 12 pm & evening timing of 5 pm to 9 pm are the only timings when heavy vehicles are allowed to enter in Pimpri Chinchwad. Our daily action against such heavy vehicles who breach these timings is going on & will keep continuing every day.”

As per further information from the X handle of Pimpri Chinchwad Police “Heavy vehicles are prohibited from entering Pimpri-Chinchwad for 4 hours in morning & 4 hours in the evening. Action taken on 1532 heavy vehicles in 5 days for flouting these norms. Action to continue.”
