A fire incident occurred at the Jan Aahar canteen on platform number 1 of Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) station in Mumbai on Wednesday, impacting the booking and waiting halls as well. The blaze ignited at approximately 2:45 pm, prompting the swift evacuation of passengers from the station.Two fire brigade vehicles rushed to the scene, successfully extinguishing the flames by around 3:30 pm, as confirmed by Dr. Shivraj Manaspure, Chief Public Relations Officer of the Central Railway.

Despite the intensity of the fire, no casualties or injuries were reported, providing a positive outcome to the emergency response. A video capturing the incident circulated on social media, displaying black smoke rising above the railway station’s roof. 

The coordinated efforts of officials and the fire brigade prevented the situation from escalating further, ensuring the safety of individuals present at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus during the incident.
