Mumbai Festival 2024 : Know the details and dates for nine day fiesta

Pune: Mumbai, the financial hub of India, is set to host Mumbai Festival 2024, a nine-day extravaganza showcasing various events. The event aims to boost tourism, promote inclusivity, growth and explore fresh opportunities and avenues for the industry. With its array of shopping, entertainment and dining experiences, the Mumbai Festival 2024 promises to reignite your love for this vibrant city!

The event will feature renowned events such as the Mumbai Marathon and the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival. Additionally, there will be a variety of other events including music festivals, expos, beach and film festivals, movie competitions, cricket clinics, and start-up festivals. According to industrialist Anand Mahindra, who chairs the festival’s advisory council, the event will follow the ‘bear hug model’ and is scheduled to take place from January 20 to 28. The festival will also offer food festivals, musical performances, cultural events and more.

The ‘Shop and Win’ festival is a supplementary occasion that will cover a wide range of shopping, dining, and entertainment venues. In addition, there will be movie showings, a photo exhibit that displays Mumbai’s history from the perspective of photographers, and ‘Happy Streets: Yoga by the Bay, Kidzathon.’

Throughout the nine days, several key activities will center around events such as the Maha Mumbai Expo, Music Festival, Earth Movie Contest, Beach Festival, Tourism Conclave, Cinema Festival, Cricket Clinic, and Maha Shopping.

The Mumbai Festival 2024, with the theme ‘Everyone’s Invited,’ aims to celebrate the essence of unity. This theme emphasizes the inclusive nature of Mumbai as the city of dreams, known as the ‘Gateway of Dreams’ where people from all walks of life are welcomed and embraced.

Mumbai Walks, a unique festival highlight, unites the iconic figures of the city to commemorate and pay tribute to the Mumbai heroes who tirelessly keep the ‘maximum city’ functioning. These heroes encompass the police hawaldars, dabbawalas, sweepers, cleaning crews, as well as the BEST bus drivers and conductors. Essentially, the festival aims to garner greater visibility by incorporating renowned events such as the marathon and the arts festival. The festival’s details were revealed in the presence of Dr B N Patil, the Director of the Department of Tourism, Maharashtra, Girish Mahajan, Tourism Minister, Maharashtra and Anand Mahindra, a prominent businessman who chairs the Mumbai Festival Advisory Committee.
