Pune: People travelling on the Mumbai-Goa National Highway are facing the issues of traffic jams and fear of accidents due to a large number of potholes on the road. The problem worsens during the monsoon. Due to the potholes, the traffic moves slowly leading to further delays.

A commuter on the Mumbai-Goa highway voiced his problems by saying that many vehicles get damaged while driving through potholes. Besides, diseases like back pain, neck pain, and waist pain get intensified. A journey of one hour takes two and a half to three hours. It especially causes inconvenience to children, women and senior citizens. The drivers who regularly travel on the roads say that potholes are everywhere on the road in order to avoid one we get into the others. Health problems have increased and vehicles are also getting issues often.

Another commuter on the Mumbai-Goa highway expressed his frustrations by stating that the Mumbai-Goa highway is in very bad condition. It has become difficult for drivers to make their way through potholed roads. The administration should make the highway pothole-free before Ganeshotsav.
